Valedictorian Sykes and Salutatorian Borchert will speak at Commencement Exercises May 29

Possessing the two highest GPAs in their class, Charlotte Sykes and Rose Borchert will speak at the Commencement Exercises for the Class of Red and White on Friday, May 29. 

While the Commencement Exercises for the Class of Red and White on Friday, May 29, in the McMurtrie-Reynolds Pavilion will celebrate every graduating member of the Class of 2026, the valedictorian and salutatorian of this impressive class will be individually honored and each will give a speech.  

Valedictorian Charlotte Sykes achieved a 4.66 GPA. She is a member of her school's Model Judiciary, Model General Assembly, and Honor Council, as well as the international Cum Laude Society.  Charlotte played goalkeeper for the varsity field hockey team, and she volunteers at an immigrant tutoring program and an assisted living facility. Charlotte will attend the University of Virginia.  

Salutatorian Rose Borchert achieved a 4.64 GPA. She is a member of Model Judiciary, Model General Assembly and the National Spanish Honor Society. As a freshman, she was awarded Outstanding Delegate for Model UN. Rose has served as a Virginia gubernatorial campaign intern and is a Richmond Forum Scholar. Rose will also attend the University of Virginia.
