Valedictorian Cogswell and Salutatorian Addison will speak at Commencement Exercises May 28
Possessing the two highest GPAs in their class, Aidan Cogswell and James Addison will speak at the Commencement Exercises for the Class of 2026 on Thursday, May 28.
While the Commencement Exercises for the Class of 2026 on Thursday, May 28, in the McMurtrie-Reynolds Pavilion will celebrate every graduating member, the valedictorian and salutatorian of this impressive class will be individually honored and each will give a speech.
Valedictorian Aidan Cogswell achieved a 4.63 GPA. He earned the rank of Cadet Major serving as Provost Officer of the Cadet Corps. Aidan is a member of the state champion Benedictine Color Guard and Drill Team, Key Club and Boy Scouts of America’s Order of the Arrow. He was a member of the state championship football team and the track team. Aidan will attend the University of Notre Dame on a Navy ROTC Scholarship.
Salutatorian James Addison achieved a 4.41 GPA. He earned the rank of Cadet Captain serving as Honor Platoon Commander of the Cadet Corps. James is a member of Benedictine’s state champion Competition Drill Team, Exhibition Drill Team and Color Guard. He is also a member of the varsity lacrosse team and Key Club. James will attend the University of Virginia.
